Taking place at Cloof Wine Estate, Darling on 9th, 10th and 11th October, Rocking the Daisies will offer a lot of really great music on the main stage, Lemon Tree Theatre and Red Bull Studio Live, from more than 30 bands including Just Jinjer, Prime Circle and Freshly Ground; art surprises and comedy. Held once again on this beautiful farm, festival-goers get to enjoy not only everything the festival has to offer but also …wild flowers. The venue is a bio-diversity champion, contributing to the re-growth of indigenous fauna and flora of the area and aiding and protecting rare and endangered flower species like Renosterveld. The 105ha of pristine Renosterveld protected at Cloof and Burgerspost is an important contribution to global biodiversity.
Cloof is also renowned for producing stunning wines which are marked with a bold-flavoured richness and which are grown on bush vines, some over 40 years old, which provide canopy shading to the grapes, protect from drought with deep, moisture-seeking roots, and produce smaller berries with more concentrated flavours.
Festival accommodation is at the camping site or at the upmarket tent city, Kreef Hotel.
